Report immediately. Even if you’re not sure the device is gone for good. Time matters.
Right now
- Email security@neuroscale.ai AND post in
#security-incidents. You can also file the Lost or Stolen Device intake form — but do not let the form delay the email/Slack notification.
- Include: device type, last known location/time, what data was on it, and whether it was unlocked when lost.
- If your phone is lost, sign out of Neuroscale accounts from another device immediately.
The Security team will:
- Disable your active sessions.
- Trigger remote wipe via MDM (laptops, managed mobile).
- Reset MFA tokens.
- Open an incident ticket per the Incident Response Plan.
Severity
| Scenario | Severity |
|---|
| Encrypted laptop, no active session, FDE confirmed enabled | P2 / P3 |
| Encrypted laptop with active session, or FDE status unconfirmed | P1 |
| Unencrypted device, or device with confidential data and unclear protection | P1 / P0 — Security decides |
| Device suspected to be in adversary hands (theft + targeted threat) | P0 |
After
- Replacement device is issued by IT — see Laptop setup for re-provisioning.
